POSITION TITLE: IT Data Cabling & Low-Voltage Technician

DAYS: Twelve month employment

SALARY SCHEDULE: Rate of pay will be $20.12 per hour

START DATE: As soon as possible.

JOB SUMMARY: The Data Cabling & Low-Voltage Technician installs, tests, and maintains structured cabling, IP cameras (CCTV), and
door access control systems across SD25 facilities. This role ensures reliable connectivity, safety, and security by
delivering clean, standards-complaint installations and responsive field support in an active K-12 environment.

JOB QUALIFICATION: *Must have a high school diploma or the equivalent.

• One to three years of experience in low-voltage/structured cabling, security cameras, or door access control.
• Proficiency with copper/fiber termination, testing tools, and basic network concepts (IP, PoE, VLANs).
• Ability to read prints,riser diagrams, and device layouts; produce accurate as-builts.
• Valid Drivers License; ability to travel between district sites.
• Must be able to lift/pull/push up to 50 lbs; occasional heavier lifts with assistance.
• Must be able to climb ladders, work in ceilings, attics, and mechanical rooms; stand, kneel, or crawl for exended periods.
• Must pass background check required for K-12 school environments.
