Pocahontas Area Community School District is seeking a qualified applicant(s) for an anticipated elementary classroom teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Salary range is approximately $50,000 to $67,532. Pocahontas Area has updated and modern facilities and a very competitive salary schedule. Coaching/Sponsorships potentially available. The district is a regional leader in technology integration with one-to-one computers in grades 3-12 and WIFI on its route buses. The HS/MS, Elementary, Preschool and Alternative HS are all located in Pocahontas and offer strong educational programming. The Preschool is nationally accredited (NAEYC). We offer preferential daycare for school, hospital and city employees. The HS/MS offers an outstanding set of extra-curricular opportunities to students, ranging from athletics, music, speech, drama, Mock Trial, Spanish club, FFA, Gaming Club(s) as well as others.
