A growing manufacturer requires a Machinist / Woodworker to become an integral part of our team! Assisting senior shop employees, shop maintenance, and machine operating of lathes, planers, shapers, and saws. A great opportunity for an experienced woodworker looking for a change. Heavy lifting often required. Physical labor daily. Equipment maintenance and manufacturing of plastic and wood parts. Time often split with assisting shipping / receiving with tasks as needed. Excellent pay and benefits at a 95 year old company.
Monday - Friday 7am - 3:30pm, overtime often required.
Salary: Based on experience
Responsibilities:
- Operate machine tools to produce machined wood and plastic components
- Modify parts and materials to improve overall production
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery
- Calculate dimensions and tolerance using measuring instruments
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in machinery or other related fields
- Familiarity with machine tools and equipment
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills
- Strong attention to detail
- High School diploma or equivalent and must pass drug screening
- CAD experience preferred
- 5 years woodworking experience preferred
