CNC Machinist

A growing manufacturing company is looking for a skilled CNC Machinist to produce parts to meet customer requirements. You will be responsible for operating CNC machines related to our products. Additionally, regular use of planers, lathes, shapers and saws for wood & plastic items. You will be responsible for milling, drilling and turning raw materials into manufactured parts. Previous experience in a similar position is preferred for this role. As a CNC Machinist, you will work in a fast-paced environment where quality matters. Physical labor daily, heavy lifting often required. Monday - Friday 7am - 3:30pm, overtime is often required.

Salary based on skills and experience.

Responsibilities:

• Operate tools to produce machined wood, plastic components, and ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
• Modify parts and materials to improve overall production
• Perform routine maintenance on machinery
• Calculate dimensions and tolerance using measuring instruments
• Work collaboratively with production team & sales dept.

Qualifications:

• CAD experience required
• Fanuc, SolidWorks, CAMWorks experience required
• 5 years’ experience preferred, GED/HS diploma or college degree
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Mechanical Engineers are encouraged to apply
• Must be committed to work to high quality standards and be detail oriented
• Candidates should have a strong work ethic and work well as part of a team
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints & technical drawings
• Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers & micrometers
• The understanding of and programming ability to use conversational software to operate a lathe.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
