Responsibilities
Essential Duties & Responsibilities System Assembly & Configuration
- Assemble and configure server and storage systems according to BOMs, build instructions, and engineering documentation.
- Install SSDs, NICs, expansion cards, and other customer-specified hardware components.
- Verify part numbers, system configurations, and component placement to ensure build accuracy.
- Apply required labels, serial numbers, and asset tags.
- Perform system reassembly and ensure all components are properly secured.
- Maintain accurate records of serialized components and system configurations.
- Scan and document inventory transactions using internal inventory management systems.
- Ensure complete traceability of components throughout the assembly process.
- Report inventory discrepancies, shortages, damaged materials, or quality concerns promptly.
- Inspect hardware components for defects or damage prior to installation.
- Verify completed systems meet configuration, quality, and workmanship standards before release to testing.
- Follow established ESD, quality, security, and manufacturing procedures.
- Identify and escalate build issues, documentation discrepancies, or process concerns.
- Safely move systems and materials throughout the production process.
- Prepare completed units for testing and subsequent production stages.
- Maintain an organized and efficient work area.
- Support production objectives while maintaining quality and accuracy standards.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1 years of experience in computer assembly, electronics manufacturing, system integration, production, or a related technical environment.
- Experience working with computer hardware and electronic components.
- Ability to read and follow assembly instructions, BOMs, and manufacturing documentation.
- Basic computer skills, including data entry and inventory tracking.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Experience building or configuring servers, storage systems, networking equipment, or other enterprise hardware.
- Familiarity with SSDs, networking components, and computer hardware installation.
- Experience in a manufacturing, production, or ESD-controlled environment.
- Experience using ERP, MES, warehouse management, or inventory tracking systems.
- Familiarity with serialized inventory tracking and asset management processes.
