We are seeking a motivated and skilled Skid Steer Operator to join our construction team. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for operating skid steer loaders and other heavy equipment to support various construction projects. Responsibilities
- Operate skid steer loaders with precision, ensuring safe handling and optimal performance across different tasks.
- Assist with excavation, grading, loading, and material handling using skid steer, dump truck
- Support site preparation activities including site clearing, debris removal, and groundwork for paving or other construction phases.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to identify maintenance needs and ensure safety standards are met.
- Collaborate with team members to execute construction plans efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist with the operation of additional heavy machinery such as water trucks, dump trucks, horizontal drills, tankers, and paving equipment as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and report any issues promptly to supervisors.
Experience
- Proven experience operating skid steer loaders in a construction environment.
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with construction site safety procedures and regulations.
- Experience working with various types of heavy machinery including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, and dump trucks.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) is preferred for operating certain vehicles on-site.
- Prior experience in construction or civil engineering projects is highly desirable.
