Shop Technician
Pneumatic and Hydraulic Co. (PHC) / Total Energy Solutions (TES)
Location: Geismar, LA
Pay: $18–$24/hour (based on experience)

Pneumatic and Hydraulic Co. (PHC), in partnership with Total Energy Solutions (TES), is seeking a mechanically inclined Shop Technician to support operations at our Geismar location. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience working on hydraulic systems, generators, pumps, and control panels.
This position will support both PHC and TES operations, with time tracked based on the work performed for each company.
What You'll Do
- Perform general shop and warehouse duties including cleaning, organizing, and upkeep
- Assist with shipping, receiving, and inventory functions
- Run errands and local deliveries as needed
- Perform light welding, painting, and blasting work
- Repair and rebuild pumps, valves, and cylinders
- Test and inspect hydraulic components and equipment
- Install hydraulic components on in-house and customer equipment
- Conduct field service calls and on-site equipment repairs
- Assist with generator and transfer switch work
- Support building and testing control panels
- Maintain service records, assist with quotes, and support repair coordination
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding service needs
What We're Looking For
- Strong mechanical aptitude (required)
- 2 years of repair/rebuild experience preferred
- Understanding of hydraulic and mechanical systems
- Ability to read schematics, diagrams, and technical charts
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Reliable, motivated, and team-oriented
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- High School Diploma or GED required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly
- Frequent standing, walking, and physical activity
- Comfortable working in a shop/industrial environment
ScheduleWork Environment
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (overtime as needed)
- No overnight travel required; local driving may be needed
- Work split between PHC and TES operations
