Our interdisciplinary team approach ensures that every staff member is valued and supported. We deeply believe in the power of a strong company culture to transform the care experience.

Position Summary

Bright Path is seeking a compassionate and skilled Psychotherapist to join our Teen Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). This role is focused on working with teens navigating self-injurious behaviors (SIB) and suicidal ideation (SI) in a structured, therapeutic environment.

As a Psychotherapist, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide individual, group, and family therapy. You’ll play a critical role in guiding teens toward healing, safety, and healthier coping strategies, while also supporting families in understanding and navigating their teen’s mental health journey.

Clinician caseloads are intentionally small – no more than 12 teens at a time. You will collaborate daily with an integrated team that includes our psychiatric provider, family therapist, group therapist, teen care advocates, and an aftercare coordinator. Even though this is a higher level of care (PHP), our comprehensive team works together on each case –so clinicians are supported and never carry overwhelming caseloads.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual therapy for teens in the PHP program
  • Assess and support teens struggling with self-injurious behaviors (SIB) and suicidal ideation (SI)
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the clinical team
  • Create a safe, therapeutic, and engaging environment for teens to explore their emotions and behaviors
  • Offer psychoeducation and support to families, strengthening their ability to participate in treatment
  • Engage in case management to ensure continuity of care and coordination with community resources
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, consultations, and ongoing professional development
  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in compliance with program and regulatory standards

Qualifications

  • Licensed Psychotherapist (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent) OR provisionally licensed therapist (LPC-A, LCSWA, LMFTA, or equivalent)
  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field
  • Experience or strong interest in working with teens experiencing self-injury and suicidal ideation
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices for treating self-harm and SI
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team
  • Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills

Preferred

  • Experience with DBT, CBT, or other trauma-informed approaches
  • Previous experience in PHP/IOP settings
  • Training in crisis intervention and safety planning for teens with SI
