What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Outreach Specialist position at Pneuma Behavioral Health?
The Role
In this key outreach role, you will serve as the boots-on-the-ground ambassador for our practice. Working primarily in the field (visiting physicians’ offices, hospitals, military base clinics, and other referral sources), you will build, nurture, and expand referral relationships so that patients who could benefit from our specialized services find their way to us.
Your mission includes:
- Identifying and engaging with referral sources—physician offices, hospitals, military base health services, clinics—educating them about transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and Spravato/Ketamine therapy and the value we bring.
- Developing and maintaining a strong pipeline of referral relationships to drive patient volume in our specialty services.
- Partnering with the internal team (clinical, marketing, operations) to develop materials, follow-up plans, and metrics to track outreach success.
- Representing our brand in the community with professionalism, integrity, and a patient-first mindset—this is not “sales only,” it’s helping people find treatments they may not know exist.
- Traveling regularly to field locations and attending meetings, events, or base health-services engagements as needed.
Who We’re Looking For
Required attributes:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable engaging with physicians, provider teams, and referral networks.
- Self-driven, organized, and motivated by results—but first and foremost by helping patients access care.
- Willingness to travel in the field regularly, build your own schedule of visits, and follow through on outreach initiatives.
- Strong professionalism and ethical standards.
- Ability to learn clinical service offerings (TMS, Spravato/Ketamine) and communicate them clearly to referral partners.
Preferred but not required:
- Previous experience in healthcare marketing, provider relations, or medical sales.
- Existing network of contacts within physician offices, hospitals, or military base health services.
- Experience working with or within a military healthcare setting or having base access.
- Familiarity with mental health / psychiatry services—not required, but a bonus.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly base pay (to be determined based on experience).
- Bonus structure tied to utilization and referral conversion
- Full benefits package (medical, dental, vision, etc.).
- Be part of a cohesive team in a growing specialty practice and help lead the way in impactful treatments.
Why This Role Matters
In many cases, patients who could benefit from TMS or Spravato/Ketamine don’t even know the options exist and many doctors and local healthcare providers often aren’t aware. By joining our outreach team, you play a vital role in bridging the gap between innovative care and the people who need it. Your efforts will directly help expand access to life-changing treatments.
