As a Lead Software Engineer within PNC's Corporate and Institutional Banking Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA or Dallas, TX. The position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis.

As a Lead Software Development Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in architecting and delivering robust full-stack applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy scalable software solutions using technologies such as C#, .NET, Angular, SQL Server, Oracle, and MongoDB. This role also includes mentoring junior developers and fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of full-stack applications using C#, .NET, and Angular
Architect and optimize relational and non-relational databases, including SQL Server, Oracle, and MongoDB
Develop and maintain RESTful APIs to facilitate seamless front-end and back-end integration
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, promoting best practices and professional growth
Ensure application performance, scalability, and reliability through rigorous testing and optimization
Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across the software stack

Qualifications:
Proven experience in a lead software engineering role, with a strong track record of delivering enterprise-grade applications
Advanced proficiency in C# (preferred), .NET Framework, Angular, and database technologies
Deep understanding of SQL Server, Oracle, and MongoDB
Expertise in designing and implementing RESTful APIs
Strong grasp of object-oriented programming (OOP), design patterns, and enterprise application integration
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
Effective leadership and communication abilities
Experience working in agile, fast-paced development environments
Demonstrated success in integrating business processes across legacy systems and modern web technologies
Familiarity with industry-standard development tools and environments such as TFS, Jenkins, and Jira

Job Description
  • Creates and leads the technical design and development of software solutions.
  • Proposes & designs software solutions to address complex business needs. Prepares technical and procedural documentation required.
  • Facilitates complex problem resolution.
  • Provides technical guidance and support to colleagues. Reviews coding, testing, and documentation of software.
  • Applies modern principles, methodologies and tools to advance business initiatives and capabilities.
