PMI SoJay Property Management is seeking a Community Association Manager (CAM) to join our growing team. Are you tired of working in the big company corporate environment? The Community Association Manager will manage multiple homeowner associations according to the CC&R's and Bylaws governing each association. This position will require some evening board meetings.
Community Association Management requires a diverse skill set and strong people skills. You will be managing on behalf of boards of directors for a portfolio of homeowner's and/or condominium associations. To be successful at this role you must be highly organized, flexible, have strong verbal and written communication skills, possess a proactive approach to dealing with problems, and have the ability to maintain a professional demeanor under stressful conditions. Candidates should be comfortable with board mentoring, vendor management, coordination of support services, financial management and budgeting, have strong computer skills, and be the kind of person that is naturally good at resolving conflict. As a small company it is imperative that you are a team player and are willing to jump in and help wherever needed to take care of our clients.

Job Description
A PMI SoJay Property Management, the CAM position is responsible for the management and day-to-day implementation of the procedures and programs that will ensure a well-managed and maintained property. Our CAM's place the highest emphasis on positive response to the concerns and needs of Association Board Members and Homeowners.
Responsibilities
  • Run the day-to-day operations of all aspects of the either an on-site or portfolio of communities to ensure excellent service
  • Prepare and solicit bids, provide comparisons, and monitor all maintenance programs relating to the property and aesthetic appearance of the property, building strong relationships with vendors
  • Act as a liaison for all resolutions of the property, utilizing sound business judgment to resolve issues and conflicts
  • Manage individual account information with the utmost confidentiality, communicating professionally both oral and written information effectively
  • Develop and monitor property budgets on a timely basis in a manner that supports the financial expectations of the Board and Association
  • Coordinate, negotiate and issue vendor contracts for property services in accordance with the management agreement
  • Prepare a monthly board package to the Board of Directors consisting of a management report outlining actions required, proposals, correspondence and financial reporting
  • Preparing for and conducting association meetings
  • Daily use of company software (CINC), Word and Excel documents for communication, organization and detailed follow-through
Qualifications

  • Preferred 1 years of experience managing a community association
  • Project management experience is a plus
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal with a polished, professional and friendly demeanor. Ability to resolve conflict and handle difficult people and conversations.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, detail oriented and a team player
  • Time management and effective organizational skills are a must
  • Knowledgeable with State Statutes and be proficient with understanding and executing the requirements of the governing documents of an association is helpful.
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Experience in Association Software such as CINC is a plus
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced multi-tasked environment where things are not always well defined up front.
  • Ability to research problems, prepare written recommendations and compose correspondence.
  • Valid Driver’s License and proof of valid auto insurance.
  • Reliable transportation required.
