Key Responsibilities

Assist with preparation and portioning of meals according to menus and dietary guidelines

Serve meals and beverages to residents in a timely, respectful manner

Follow resident-specific diet orders (e.g., diabetic, mechanical soft, low sodium)

Set up and break down dining areas, trays, and meal carts

Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment; maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen

Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures

Assist with inventory, stocking supplies, and storing food properly

Communicate resident needs or concerns to nursing or dietary staff
