Position Summary
The Medication Technician (Med Tech) plays a vital role in supporting residents' health and well-being by safely administering medications and assisting with daily living activities. This position requires compassion, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and supportive environment for seniors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications accurately and timely according to physician orders and facility protocols
- Document medication administration in residents’ records and maintain confidentiality
- Monitor residents for side effects or changes in condition and report concerns to nursing staff
- Maintain medication carts and storage areas in a clean, organized, and secure manner
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as grooming, dressing, and mobility
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members
- Support shift transitions by providing thorough handoff reports
- Ensure compliance with state regulations and facility policies

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Current Texas Certified Medication Aide (CMA) or Med Tech certification
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred
- Prior experience in assisted living or long-term care setting is a plus
- Strong interpersonal and observational skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
