Position Description:
Responsible for performing a variety of housekeeping and laundry tasks to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary nursing center. Ensures all cleaning and laundry services are completed in compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations. Duties include cleaning resident rooms and common areas; collecting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and residents’ clothing; properly handling soiled and contaminated laundry; maintaining a clean and organized laundry area; and safely operating laundry equipment. Follows all infection-control and safety guidelines, communicates respectfully with residents and staff, and maintains confidentiality at all times.
