PMCO is hiring a Receiver/Yard Jockey in Reading, PA!
Pay: $24/hour
Shifts: 1st (8am–4pm), 2nd (4pm–12am), 3rd (12am–8am)
Schedule: All shifts follow a 7-days-on / 2-days-off rotation
Overview
This role supports plant operations by receiving fluid products, preparing equipment, performing sanitation tasks, and ensuring safe, efficient product flow throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work area
- Receive fluid products and monitor tanks, flow, and equipment
- Perform basic equipment operation and preventive maintenance
- Complete wash tags, shipping/receiving paperwork, and sanitation logs
- Maintain HACCP records and collect samples for testing
- Prepare tanks, silos, valves, and hoses for production
- Move trucks and trailers for loading or repair
- Follow all safety, GMP, quality, and food safety procedures
- Attend required training (Safety, GMP, HACCP, SQF)
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year manufacturing experience
- 1 year recent tractor/trailer driving experience
- Ability to obtain Sampler Certification and tanker endorsement within 90 days
- Valid CDL and full DOT compliance
Skills
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office; SAP a plus)
- Understanding of DOT rules
- Ability to perform basic calculations and equipment adjustments
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and meet deadlines
- Ability to perform physical tasks; must read, write, and speak English
