PMCO is hiring a CNC Programmer / Set-Up Technician in the Manufacturing industry in Plymouth, MN!
Pay Rate: $35 – $44 per hour
Shift: 1st shift
Key Responsibilities:
- Program CNC milling and multi-turret/mill-turn lathes using GibbsCAM.
- Review drawings and routings for manufacturability; communicate with engineering on changes.
- Select tooling, determine machining sequences, speeds, and feeds.
- Optimize tooling and programming on existing parts.
- Perform time/motion studies and recommend efficiency improvements.
- Support in-process inspections and ensure production standards are accurate in ERP.
- Kit, stage, and maintain tooling; maintain setup sheets for new parts or design changes.
- Set up and operate complex CNC machinery.
- Instruct and mentor less skilled operators.
- Follow all safety protocols and company core values.
Education Requirements:
- Associate degree in Machining and 5–7 years of complex CNC experience or 8–10 years equivalent experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong CNC programming skills (GibbsCAM preferred).
- Proficient in milling, turning, and multi-turret/mill-turn operations.
- Skilled in tooling, shop math, and machining process development.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Attention to detail and producing high-quality work.
- Effective communicator and team collaborator.
- Adaptable and eager to improve processes.
Preferred Experience:
- Fixture design, setup, and qualification.
- Milling, turning, and multi-turret/mill-turn machining.
- CAM programming with GibbsCAM.
