PMC Property Group (PMC) is an owner, operator, and developer of primarily multifamily real estate headquartered in Philadelphia, PA. PMC’s rapidly growing portfolio is located in secondary and tertiary urban markets up and down the east coast. PMC is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician for its Richmond portfolio.
Facilities Operations Technician Responsibilities and Duties: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the physical care, condition, and maintenance of the buildings within their portfolio. Their duties and responsibilities often include:
- Maintain good working conditions of all buildings and properties within the portfolio.
- Perform general repairs in accordance with routine maintenance schedules or projects.
- Complete all repair work indicated by the Property Management Staff.
- Monitor maintenance supply inventory and notify Property Management Staff of supply needs in an organized and timely fashion.
- Complete any maintenance-related issues in a vacant unit before a resident moves in.
- Maintain and organize records of maintenance requests/work orders from start to finish.
- Any other maintenance-related duties required and requested by the Property Management Staff.
- Provide Property Management Staff maintenance updates regarding the work requested.
- Complete maintenance requests submitted through the work order system
- Perform regular deep cleaning tasks, such as carpet cleaning, window washing, and power washing exteriors.
- Ensure cleanliness of common areas, including lobbies, hallways, laundry rooms, and recreational facilities.
- Operate smartphone applications related to maintenance requests.
- Collect trash, transport and empty into designated receptacle
- Utilize a variety of cleaning tools and equipment such as mops, pails, vacuum cleaners and push carts
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Knowledge of and experience with HVAC equipment, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.
- Ability to work overtime when necessary, and be on-call after hours.
- Ability to work independently and use safety measures appropriately.
- Maintain cordial, professional manner in dealing with the tenants, contractors, management, community, etc.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Physical Requirements:
- Capability to stand in one place for long periods of time
- Capability to walk through and to and from buildings for most of the day.
- Requires the frequent use of both hands and arms.
- Requires the ability to lift overhead using both arms.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Ability to frequently stand, walk, lift, push, bend, kneel, crouch and climb stairs
Hours:
Monday - Friday
8:00am - 4:30pm
On-call hours required
