Provide office-based pain management services
Essential Functions:
- Perform acts of advanced assessment, diagnosis, prescription, selection and administration of therapeutic measures and treatment regimes
- Consult, plan and implement collaborative management, referrals, or transfer of care as appropriate
- Practice within standards consistent with those established by the National Council of the New Hampshire State Board of Nursing
- Recognize limits of knowledge and experience and plan for the management of situations beyond own expertise
- Maintain up to date and timely records and documentation
- Allocate sufficient time as is reasonably necessary for effective patient care; typically, 40 hours per week
- Maintain confidentiality as it applies to all state, federal and company guidelines
- Provide full time services including:
- Pain evaluations
- Consultation and referral
- Routine office visits
- Medication management (including narcotic analgesics)
- Referral to intervention lists when appropriate
- Order urine toxicology screens, pill counts, MRIs, EMGs, or radiologic studies as indicated
- Cover emergency calls for own patients
Other Functions and Responsibilities:
- Attend professional conferences or meetings at the direction of the Regional Administrator or CEO
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Successful completion of an approved nurse practitioner program
Experience:
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Professional nursing theory, practice and care, knowledge of policies and regulations, excellent communication skills, time management skills, and the ability to work closely with providers, staff and management.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Current DEA licensing
Experience: 1-2 years’ experience in pain management facility
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS APRN license in the State of NH pursuant to RSA 326 - B or license pursuant to multi-state compact
