TITLE: Compounder
DEPARTMENT: Production
REPORTS TO: Production Supervisor/ Manager
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: weigh and compound materials in accordance with prescribed formulas and work instructions. May perform all duties in production occupations. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Weighing and compounding materials.
- Operate forklift safely and keep daily safety checklist.
- Monitor equipment and other indicators to ensure safe operation.
- Adheres to all safety rules, guidelines, and codes.
- Miscellaneous: inspecting, cleaning.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or equivalent is preferred. Should have knowledge of, or experience in manufacturing. Have strong communications skills, both verbal and written. Should have a positive attitude, high level of accountability, personal drive, and integrity.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Daily routine will consist mostly of manufacturing work with exposure to the production environment, which may have some abnormal variations in temperature, unavoidable fumes, noise, and atmospheric conditions. Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment, including a respirator, must be worn in designated areas.
- Must have the ability to perform physical activity, which includes occasionally lifting to 55 lb., prolonged periods standing, bending, stooping, walking up the stairs, manual dexterity, repetitive hand, and finger motion.
