This position plays a critical role in ensuring projects remain on schedule, code-compliant, and aligned with Florida Building Code and local jurisdictional requirements.

Candidates with a background in Architecture or Construction Management are strongly preferred, or equivalent hands-on experience in permitting, plan review coordination, and construction administration.

  • Coordinate responses to plan review comments with project managers, designers, engineers, and subcontractors

  • Communicate permit timelines, delays, and approvals clearly to internal project teams
  • Assist with expediting permits and resolving jurisdictional issues to support project schedules
  • Stay current on changes to Florida Building Code, local amendments, and Tampa Bay–area permitting processes

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience preparing and submitting construction permits in Pinellas and/or Hillsborough Counties
  • Strong working knowledge of the Florida Building Code (FBC) and local amendments
  • Experience with residential remodels, additions, ADUs, and light commercial permitting

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple permits and deadlines simultaneously in a remote work environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with online permitting portals and digital plan submittals
