Role Description The Project Scheduler is a full-time, on-site role based in Phoenix, AZ. This role is responsible for developing, updating, and maintaining detailed project schedules using appropriate scheduling software, ensuring alignment with scope, budget, and resource plans. The Project Scheduler will work closely with project managers, field teams, and stakeholders to gather schedule inputs, analyze progress, and adjust timelines and sequencing to reflect current conditions. Daily tasks include monitoring milestones, identifying schedule risks, preparing look-ahead schedules, and generating reporting dashboards and schedule narratives for internal and client review. The role also involves coordinating with cross-functional teams to optimize resource allocation, supporting claims and delay analyses as needed, and contributing to the continuous improvement of scheduling standards and processes.
Qualifications
- Scheduling and planning skills, including experience with Primavera P6 project scheduling software and development of baseline and updated schedules.
- Construction project knowledge, including understanding of construction sequencing, critical path methods, and coordination of trades and resources.
- Analytical and risk management skills, including the ability to interpret data, evaluate schedule impacts, and identify risks, constraints, and mitigation options.
- Communication and collaboration skills, including clear written and verbal communication, stakeholder coordination, and the ability to present schedule information to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in Excel and other productivity tools for reporting, dashboards, and data analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Prior experience in construction project scheduling or project controls is preferred; experience in complex or large-scale projects is a plus.
