What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Manager-Industrial Manufacturing position at Plymouth Tube Company?
Plymouth Tube Company: a well-established, 5th-generation family-owned manufacturer recently celebrating 100 years in business.
This position will manage, plan, organize, lead and direct maintenance and wastewater personnel and systems to optimize equipment effectiveness, ensure plant safety, and maintain internal and external plant facilities and equipment. This position will ensure that maintenance personnel execute procedures, processes, work instructions, etc. in the manner prescribed while operating in a team-based environment. Will also ensure that the security of the building is maintained and work directly with the team leadership as it pertains to those activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Must have knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems and diagrams.
• Provide expectations, accountability, and direction to direct reports. Union shop.
• Execute the policy deployment process within the maintenance functions.
• Manage the maintenance budget to control costs.
• Plan, budget, and execute CAPEX
• Assess, train, and develop competencies within the maintenance organization.
• Champion health and safety initiatives
• Specify a maintenance plan for each equipment system.
• Review and analyze the execution of the maintenance plans and performance metrics. The performance metrics include MTBF, MTTR, PM compliance performance,
• Work with Operations and Engineering on improvement of OEE
• Support an operating culture within the area of responsibility that promotes involvement, communication, mutual trust and respect, expectations and accountability, and a passion for excellence.
• Lead and participate in problem-solving teams, TPM activities, and other kaizen events
.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
• 5 years of experience as a Supervisor/Manager in an Industrial Manufacturing Plant • Overall, 10 years of experience in hands-on maintenance or an appropriate combination of education and experience.
• Associate, Bachelor's, or Technical Degree preferred. Special training and/or certifications in maintenance are a plus (i.e., Journeyman status, PLC, electrical, etc.).
