Position Overview:
The Plymouth Rockets Baseball Club is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Statistician/Dugout assistant Intern for the upcoming summer season (May 26 – July 26). This is a full-time, paid, on-site role based in Metro Detroit, MI, with the Plymouth Rockets of the Shoreline Collegiate Baseball League.
The selected candidate will be responsible for managing and operating the GameChanger platform, the league’s official system for live statistics and play-by-play updates. In addition to statistical duties, the Statistician will support the coaching staff with various game-day responsibilities in the dugout.
Reliable transportation is required, as attendance at all games is mandatory, and occasional team practices and meetings may be required. The candidate must be present for all home and away games, including Friday and Saturday doubleheaders (12:00 PM and 2:00 PM EST), as well as select Wednesday 5:00 PM games.
Most games take place throughout the Metro Detroit area, including Livonia, Dearborn, and Hamtramck. Travel also includes games in Jackson and Bay City, Michigan, and Toledo, Ohio. The full schedule is available at www.plymouthrockets.org.
The Plymouth Rockets roster consists of collegiate athletes from NAIA, NJCAA, and NCAA programs, competing in a 30–40 game schedule running through late July, with potential playoff games extending into early August.

Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of baseball rules, metrics, and strategy

- Availability for all scheduled games, including weekends and select weekday evenings
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, live-game environment

Compensation:
- Starting at $1,500 for the season
