What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Dietitian position at Plymouth Pediatric Associates?
We are seeking a knowledgeable and empathetic Registered Dietitian to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and families, and a passion for promoting healthy growth and development through nutrition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct nutritional assessments and develop individualized care plans for pediatric patients.
- Provide counseling and education to families on topics such as picky eating, food allergies, weight management, and chronic conditions (e.g., diabetes, GI disorders).
- Collaborate with pediatricians and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record system.
- Stay current with best practices and pediatric nutrition guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Registered Dietitian (RD) credential and current state licensure.
- Experience in pediatric nutrition strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
