Love meeting people, getting creative, and making someone’s day? Come help our guests turn a ball of yarn into their new favorite plushie!
At Plushumi, guests of all ages make stuffed animals from scratch—with step-by-step guidance, lots of creativity, and plenty of smiles. We’re looking for a friendly, dependable Workshop Assistant to welcome guests and help them enjoy every step.
New to knitting or sewing? We’ll teach you! Bring your positive attitude and willingness to learn.
What you’ll do
- Welcome guests and help them feel comfortable and excited.
- Guide the fun! Help guests make their plushies and teach simple knitting and sewing techniques after training.
- Lend a helping hand to adults and children ages 7 and up.
- Answer calls and share information about our workshops.
- Ring up accessories using Square.
- Keep things ready by organizing supplies, restocking yarn, and moving yarn boxes.
- Keep the workshop tidy so it’s always inviting for our next group.
You’ll fit right in if you’re…
- Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable talking with new people.
- Patient and happy to help children and adults.
- Reliable, punctual, and ready to jump in when things get busy.
- Interested in crafts or hands-on activities—no experience needed!
- Available to work weekends (required).
- At least 18 years old.
Experience with children, customer service, knitting, crocheting, or sewing is a plus!
