Come solve the hard problems with us.Plus3 IT Systems is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Cloud Engineer to join our technical operations team. As a Cloud Engineer on the team, you will primarily focus on designing, deploying, and optimizing scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure. While the primary focus is cloud engineering, the role includes minor responsibilities related to traditional system administration, providing clear visibility into the end-to-end operational health of our services. This role requires at least three days a week onsite and is not eligible for fully remote.What Youll Do:Cloud Infrastructure Management: Administer and maintain core cloud servicesDeployment and Automation: Assist in the deployment of cloud-native applications and infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation/ARM Templates.Monitoring and Maintenance: Configure and manage monitoring and logging tools to proactively identify and resolve issues, ensuring high availability and system healthSecurity & Compliance: Support the implementation of basic security protocols, including vulnerability patching, endpoint protection, and adhering to compliance policies under senior guidance.Documentation: Create and maintain accurate technical documentation, including asset inventories, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and user guides.System Administration: Perform routine system administration tasks for both Linux and Windows operating systems, including patching, configuration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Requirements:Active TS/SCI, CI Poly requiredBachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline8 years of progressive experienceExperience in a Cloud Engineer, DevOps, or highly Cloud-focused System Administrator roleHands-on experience in IT support, helpdesk operations, system administration, or related technical rolesExperience managing infrastructure on a major public cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure)Understanding of core cloud computing concepts (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, serverless computing)Demonstrable understanding of Microsoft Windows Server environments (Active Directory, Group Policy)Foundational knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs)Experience troubleshooting common Windows/Linux OS issues and hardware failuresSolid understanding of Linux and/or Windows Server administration fundamentals.Active Certifications (e.g., Cloud Certifications, Security or other IAT II/III level certification)U.S. Citizenship is required for federal contract supportPreferred Skills:Proven ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and communicate technical information clearly to non-technical usersIaC: experience with tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or AnsibleFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Gitlab CI, Azure DevOps)Basic proficiency in a scripting language such as PowerShell or PythonExperience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)What Youll Love About Plus3:Direct Impact: You will ensure our internal teams remain operational and secure, directly supporting their ability to deliver solutions to our federal clients.Agile & Collaborative: Work in a highly collaborative environment where your ideas are heard, and you can quickly adapt and innovate.Invested in You: Your growth is our priority. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and storage cabinets.Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:This is a full-time position and work days are Monday through Friday. Specific work hours are established with Team Lead. Work location may vary, including onsite requirements which are outlined in the requirements and confirmed with Team Lead.

Salary : $58 - $78
