We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Sport Events Coordinator to work at a high-profile retail client headquarters located in Beaverton, OR.
Job Overview:
The Sport Events Coordinator is responsible for delivering engaging special events for employees and exceptional visits for business guests. This role requires a strategic mindset, operational excellence, and a passion for delivering exceptional experience that align with the client’s commitment to sports and fitness.
What you will do:
- Partner with the client’s Events team to deliver sports and fitness components of company-wide employee events. Coordinate logistics and staffing.
- Collaborate with the client’s Marketing team to facilitate visits for high profile business guests. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, securing space bookings, conducting pre-visit walk-throughs, scheduling specialty services, coordinating staffing and events, facilitating tours, providing on-site support, and ensuring responsive communication.
- Oversee employee team building event program, including strategy, pricing model, and communication plans.
- Maintain and update a menu of service offerings on a quarterly basis, in collaboration with other department leaders and based on demand, feedback, program performance, diversity of offerings, client priorities and culture.
- Ensure quality standards established for the program are upheld through regular audits of events, instructors, and processes.
- Monitor and report on key metrics as established with leadership, including but not limited to participation and number of events.
- Facilitate participant feedback loops utilizing digital survey platform and focus groups, to inform program offerings and strategy and drive continuous improvement of processes, outcomes, and experience.
- Oversee the planning and execution of the events program, including the direct supervision and support of team members.
What we are looking for:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Event Management, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Minimum of three years of experience in event coordination.
- Proven ability to work with high-profile clients and deliver exceptional customer service and experiences.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent time management, problem-solving, organizational, and follow-up skills.
- Professional communication skills, both written and verbal, with attention to grammar and tone.
- Confident public speaker with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Zoom.
- Passion for or knowledge of sports and fitness is a plus.
