We are seeking a Program Manager to develop and deliver holistic well‑being programs for a high‑profile corporate client in Groton, CT, supporting a comprehensive population health strategy that drives employee well‑being, resiliency, and engagement.
This position follows a hybrid onsite schedule: two days each week at the Groton/New London, CT offices, two days at the client’s Quonset Point, RI location, and one remote workday, depending on business needs.
What you will do:
Manage the onsite team of Workplace Well-being team members and will be the main point of contact responsible for the team’s contributions to the population health strategy.
Assesses population health needs using available claims data, utilization statistics, and satisfaction to identify opportunities and develop tactical project plans.
Provides oversight & best practice guidance to workplace and virtual population health initiatives and focus areas (well-being, fitness, clinical and mental health).
Collaborates with key stakeholders to develop and assist with a cohesive, holistic and data focused population health strategy to drive health improvement and resiliency of the employee population.
Develops and executes population health project management activities nationally.
Conducts impact analysis of population health initiatives and benchmarks programming against industry findings & Optum’s book of business.
Monitor performance, trends, and engagement metrics to advise on the continuous evolution of the well-being strategy.
What we are looking for:
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., health promotion, health education, public health).
- Three or more years of experience in health promotion, health management, human resources and organizational behavior or a related field.
- The ability to multi-task, and to execute time-management, problem-solving, organizational and follow-up skills.
- Strong technical and regulatory knowledge.
- The ability to network, engage and interact with clients and members.
- Competence with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Health plan experience.
Additional knowledge and experience that you can bring to this role, but which is not required:
- Master’s degree in health promotion management, public health or a related field.
- Related health promotion or public health certification, such as National Commission for Health Education Credentialing (NCHEC), WellCert Certified Wellness Practitioner or CHES (Certified Health Education Specialist).
- Five years of industry experience.

Pay is based on several factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, certifications, geographic differentials, and other business and organizational needs.
