• Consultative Sales: Act as an educator first. Present professional "Good/Better/Best" options to homeowners, educating them on products and options to effectively close service recommendations.
• Operational Efficiency: Keep your work vehicle strictly stocked and ready, maintain accurate inventory lists, and utilize dispatching software (e.g., ServiceTitan or Housecall Pro) for daily invoicing and documentation.
• Leadership: Mentor apprentice plumbers and oversee technical quality in the field.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience: 4 years of residential service, repair, and remodel experience.
• Licensing: Must hold a minimum of a Technician License, P-1, or P-2 in the state of North Carolina.
• Compliance: Must pass a background check. Driving infractions on your Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) must be between 0–1 points.
• Communication: Exceptional communication skills with a proven "Sales DNA"—you understand that selling is actually just helping the customer make the best decision for their home
• Location: Raleigh, NC & Surrounding Triangle Area

The Opportunity

Are you a Master or Journeyman Plumber who is tired of being "just another number" at a massive corporate shop? Do you have the technical chops to solve any leak, but the social skills to build lasting trust with a homeowner?

Plumbing Service Professionals is looking for the future backbone of our service department. Our owner is ready to step out of the daily service rotation, and we need a Lead Service Technician to take the reins of our flagship truck. This is a high-autonomy role with a direct path to leadership as we scale.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Pay: $28.00 to $35 per hour.
• Tiered Commission Structure: * 4% on gross revenue up to $35,000/month.
• 7% on gross revenue between $35,000 and $50,000/month.
• 10% on all gross revenue over $50,000/month.
• Pay Frequency: Bi-weekly pay period.
• Schedule: No weekend work and no on-call rotations. We respect your time.
• Vehicle: Late-model service van provided. Take-home van privileges are granted after a 90-day probation period (Note: Your residence must be within a 20-mile driving radius of the shop for this benefit).
• Tools: You are a seasoned professional; employees must provide and bring their own tools. (No tool allowance is provided).

Core Responsibilities

• Technical Mastery: Perform top-tier residential service including bathroom and kitchen remodels, rough-in plumbing, and whole-home re-pipes. Must be highly knowledgeable in NC Plumbing Code and maintain strict quality workmanship.
• Specialized Equipment: Install and troubleshoot both tankless and tank-type water heaters using professional diagnostic tools (manometer and volt meter).
• Gas Piping: Competently size and run gas piping for residential appliances and systems.
