Job Summary
Staten Island based Plumbing Company seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Plumbing Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic distribution team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing plumbing inventory, managing vehicle/tool maintenance and ensuring accurate order fulfillment. Your proactive approach will support seamless warehouse operations, contribute to safety compliance, and help deliver exceptional service to our customers. Responsibilities
- Manage receiving/returning of material, verifying incoming deliveries against packing slips.
- Prepare and stage materials, parts and equipment for field technicians and job sites.
- Receive, inspect, and accurately stock plumbing supplies using inventory management systems.
- Unload, and transport materials safely within the warehouse and/or to job sites.
- Conduct manual handling of plumbing components, ensuring proper packaging and storage according to safety regulations and company standards.
- Coordinate with office staff and field technicians for material purchasing and to resolve missing/incorrect items.
- Pick and pack required material for projects.
- Maintain inventory control by conducting regular stock counts, updating records in warehouse management systems.
- Oversee the sign-out and return of tools, ensuring accountability.
- Monitor equipment condition and coordinate maintenance or repairs.
- Review/approve supply house invoices/statements
- General warehouse tasks and special projects as needed.
Requirements
- 3-5 years experience in warehouse distribution or warehouse management roles, preferably within plumbing or construction sectors.
- Familiarity with plumbing materials (copper, cast iron, propress, etc.) and trade tools is highly preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting regularly while adhering to manual handling best practices.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for stock stocking, material picking & packing, and material receiving tasks.
- Effective communication skills; ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic proficiency with Google Sheets, MS Office, MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required
