Location: Wasilla, Palmer, Houston, Big Lake, Willow, Sutton (Based out of Wasilla)
Pay: Up to $50/hr DOE Performance Bonuses

Plumbing & Heating Doctor is seeking a reliable and hardworking Drain Cleaning Technician to diagnose and clear blockages in residential and commercial plumbing systems. This role involves using specialized tools and equipment to restore proper drainage while delivering excellent customer service and ensuring safety and cleanliness in every job.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and diagnose clogged or slow drainage systems, including sinks, toilets, tubs, and sewer lines
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift heavy equipment (50 lbs)
- Residential, commercial, and industrial job sites
- Exposure to water, waste, odors, and varying weather conditions
- May require on-call shifts, evenings, weekends, and overtime
- Comfortable working in confined spaces and unsanitary conditions
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods
Work Environment:
- Previous experience in plumbing or drain cleaning preferred (training may be provided)
- Knowledge of drain systems and cleaning equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver’s license
Physical Requirements:
- Operate drain cleaning equipment such as augers, snakes, hydro-jetters, and inspection cameras
- Clear blockages and restore proper flow in plumbing systems
- Perform routine maintenance and preventative drain cleaning services
- Identify potential plumbing issues and recommend repairs or upgrades
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and local regulations
- Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicles in good working condition
- Accurately document work performed and provide reports to customers or supervisors
- Respond to emergency calls, including after-hours service when required
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in plumbing or drain cleaning preferred (training may be provided)
- Knowledge of drain systems and cleaning equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver’s license
Compensation & Benefits:
