What are the responsibilities and job description for the LEAD Plumbing Mechanic position at plumbing and heating?
Long Island Full Service Plumbing Company looking for a LEAD PLUMBING MECHANIC . MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE RUNNING A CREW, READING BLUEPRINTS AND TAKING CHARGE.
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential and commercial buildings
- Read blueprints and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems
- Cut, assemble, and install pipes and fittings
- Test plumbing systems for leaks and other issues
- Install, maintain, and repair boilers including but not limited to gas, oil and tankless systems
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient installation and maintenance processes.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and questions.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
Qualifications:
-Must have a VALID drivers license (will be verified)
-Must live on Long Island
- Experience as a plumbing MECHANIC required minimum 5 years experience
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude.
- Collaborate professionally with contractors, construction workers, electricians, and other professionals on job sites
- Adhere to safety standards and building codes
- Familiarity with power tools and hand tools used in plumbing work
- Experience with pipe threading and installation
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and repairs
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- STRONG attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Valid driver's license is REQUIRED
