Job Description:
Plumb Signs is looking for a skilled, detail oriented, and passionate Custom Sign Designer & Fabricator to join our shop. This hands-on position involves the full spectrum of sign production. From reading blueprints and preparing materials, to installing signage multi-story buildings. You’ll work in the shop with a variety of tools and materials while collaborating with our team to deliver high-quality, long-lasting signage to our clients.

Position Responsibilities:
- Operate CNC router and run MACH3 CNC Software program efficiently
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately
- Use measuring electrical and hand tools to cut and assemble sign materials (aluminum, acrylic, ACM, etc.)
- Fabricate and install signs, including ground-level and multi-story installations
- Perform construction labor, including digging post holes and drilling
- Maintain clear communication with the manager and production team
- Ensure quality control and troubleshoot issues with critical thinking and take initiative when problems arise
- Travel across California to perform construction site installations
Physical Demands:
- Lift and maneuver materials weighing 60 lbs regularly
- Work outdoors and on active construction sites in the California summer heat
- Excavation and removal of dirt, hardpan, rocks, etc. to install sign posts
- Comfortable with ladders, lifts, and working at heights for installations
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Minimum 1 year experience working in construction
- Painting experience: prepping material, rolling, spraying, and detail painting using Pantone, Sherwood Williams, and Matthews Paints
- Experience using, cutting, and laying vinyl
