What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Supply Coordinator – $17/hr+ position at Plum?
Part-Time Supply Coordinator – $17/hr
We’re looking for a sharp, dependable person to take charge of our supplies and keep our cleaning teams running smoothly. This isn’t just about stocking shelves — it’s about saving money, improving systems, and making sure our team always has what they need to do their best work.
This is a part-time morning role, Monday–Friday, starting at 6:00 or 7:00 AM and ending between 9:00–11:00 AM depending on the day.
What You’ll Do
- Track, order, and distribute supplies — and hold cleaners accountable when things go missing.
- Monitor chemical usage with the goal of lowering costs while maintaining (or improving) quality.
- Keep our supply room organized and running like clockwork.
- Manage the supply budget and look for smarter, more cost-effective solutions.
- Use Excel, Gmail, and tracking systems daily to stay on top of inventory.
- Spot weak points in the system and improve them — we want proactive problem-solvers, not box-checkers.
- Support training by helping create better processes and eventually producing training videos.
- Act as a supervisor in supply accountability — documenting issues and following disciplinary steps up to termination when necessary.
What We Expect
- Strong attention to detail — the small things matter.
- Comfortable with computers: Excel, Gmail, and tracking tools.
- Reliable transportation (valid license and car required).
- Cleaning or chemical knowledge strongly preferred.
- Supervisory or management experience is a big plus — must be confident in giving direction, correcting mistakes, and following through.
- Someone who takes ownership: this role is about running supplies like it’s your own business.
- High emotional intelligence: tough enough to enforce rules, but empathetic enough that employees feel supported, not punished.
Why This Role Matters
Our cleaners can’t deliver high-quality work without the right tools. Supplies impact both quality and cost — and we need someone who can balance both. The right person will save money, improve systems, and help hold the team accountable.
