Description

The Sandwich Maker is responsible for preparing fresh, high-quality sandwiches, wraps, and other menu items while providing exceptional Guest Service. The Sandwich Maker will prepare ingredients, assemble made-to-order menu items, maintain a clean and organized workstation, and ensure all food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented Foodservice environment while delivering an outstanding Guest experience.

What You Will Bring

Previous experience in food preparation, sandwich making, deli operations, or a similar foodservice environment is preferred but not required.

Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques, proper food handling, and sanitation practices.

Ability to follow recipes, portion guidelines, and food preparation instructions.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with team members and guests.

Ability to work efficiently and accurately during busy service periods.

Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.

What You Will Do

Prepare fresh, made-to-order sandwiches, wraps, and other menu items according to Plum Market Foodservice recipes and quality standards.

Assemble sandwiches using proper portioning, ingredient placement, and presentation techniques.

Slice, portion, and prepare meats, cheeses, vegetables, breads, and other ingredients for daily service.

Follow guest requests and modifications while maintaining quality and accuracy.

Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked sandwich preparation station throughout your shift.

Monitor ingredient freshness, product rotation, and proper storage to maintain food quality and minimize waste.

Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handwashing, temperature monitoring, and prevention of cross-contamination.

Properly clean and sanitize food preparation surfaces, utensils, equipment, and workstations.

Operate food preparation equipment safely, including slicers, knives, toasters, and other kitchen equipment, following all required training and safety procedures.

Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing food products and supplies.

Replenish ingredients, packaging materials, and supplies to maintain efficient service.

Communicate with team members and leadership regarding product availability, special requests, and operational needs.

Provide friendly, professional, and timely service to Guests.

Assist with opening and closing procedures, including food preparation, equipment cleaning, and proper food storage.

Support other Foodservice stations and complete additional duties as assigned by leadership.
