What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tea Lover / Production and Fulfillment Assistant position at Plum Deluxe Tea?
If your perfect evening involves curling up with your pet, a mug of tea, and a good book, you've found your place! At Plum Deluxe we're passionate about great tea and a great customer experience. We also appreciate a good Star Trek reference and the teriyaki from our neighboring food trucks.
We're looking for an Production and Fulfillment Assistant to support our warehouse operations. You'll help in packaging and shipping our popular loose-leaf tea blends and Tea Club subscription.
This position requires a commitment of 30-40 hours per week, depending on your availability. We have a flexible schedule and can work with you to meet our production demands and your needs.
What will you do all day while sipping delicious tea?
Culture

Tea Packaging and Preparation
- Label, package, and fill products as needed.
- Complete batch paperwork and maintain production logs.
- Receive, restock, and store finished goods correctly, updating the inventory tracking system.
- Handle all allergens according to protocol.
- Perform daily cleaning and equipment maintenance.
- Support the team with production and general warehouse tasks as needed.
Shipping / Receiving
- Filter incoming order queue to ensure orders are prioritized correctly.
- Accurately and efficiently pull product for orders.
- Package items for order and print shipping label for package, ensuring positive presentation and personalization of shipment where appropriate.
- Process batch tea club shipments according to process.
- Update ordering system accurately with work completed
General
- Support the team with general warehouse tasks such as cleaning and product assembly.
- Maintain clean and organized work spaces.
- Attend and participate in scheduled meetings.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
This position requires standing for up to 10 hours per day. It also requires lifting a maximum of 25 lbs and bending consistently during shifts to complete the required tasks.
Skills and Experience
- Familiarity with online shipping software like ShipStation a huge plus.
- Previous experience working in food preparation a plus.
- Previous warehouse experience a plus.
- Strong visual acuity to read detailed packing lists and order notifications.
Qualifications
