Bartender/Beverage Cart Attendant – Job Description
The Food and Beverage employees are one of the most visible and valuable team members and is a critical part of the golf course’s customer service and overall customer experience!
The responsibilities of this job include but are not limited to the following:
- Deliver friendly first class customer service on-course, in the clubhouse, and while on duty representing the golf Course.
- Bartending in our newly renovated bar and grill.
- Taking food orders and working with our cooking staff.
- Busing tables and cleaning dining area.
- Become familiar with the layout of the golf course and proper golf etiquette to deliver the most efficient and courteous on-course drink and food service.
- Keep a clean, attractive looking and properly maintained beverage cart.
- Stock and restock the inventory and supplies at the beginning of the day, throughout the day as directed, or as denoted in any operating checklists provided.
- Be available to work morning and afternoon shifts.
- Short order cooking and sandwich prep.
- Unload and reconcile beverage and snack inventory at the end of the day or as denoted in any operating checklists provided.
- Ensure accurate transactions using our point of sale provided for on-course beverage cart service, and inside service, handling both cash and credit card transactions, as well as reconciling daily beverage cart close-outs.
- Keep all money and beverage cart inventory secure at all times while on duty.
- Practice safety and courtesy to golfers at all times.
- Help to ensure the golf course is kept clean and free of trash.
- Promote and be a steward of the golf course at all times, both on and off duty.
- Come to work on time, properly groomed, and in uniform for every scheduled shift.
- Become knowledgeable of daily course conditions and other important and pertinent happening during each shift.
Required On-the-Job Physical Work:
- Lifting cases of soft drinks, beer and water
- Bending over to stock cart and retrieve items
- Hauling and replenishing ice
- Enduring hot and cold weather temperatures
- Sitting in and driving a motorized vehicle over uneven terrain
- Standing on hard surfaces

Employment standards:
- Previous food service experience strongly preferred
- Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) Certification required
- Must have an outgoing personality and be customer service oriented
- Excellent oral communication skills are required
- Excellent presentation skills required
- Good computer skills are required
- Must be available to work weekdays, weekend days, and holidays
- Must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $7.25 - $7.26 per hour
