Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our dynamic team in delivering high-quality behavioral health services. As an RBT, you will work directly with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement individualized treatment plans rooted in applied behavior analysis (ABA). Responsibilities
- Implement behavior intervention plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to support clients’ developmental goals.
- Collect and record data meticulously during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, feeding, communication, and social skills development.
- Use evidence-based behavioral management techniques to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors.
- Support clients in educational settings by applying teaching strategies tailored to their individual needs.
- Maintain confidentiality of client information in accordance with HIPAA regulations and ensure accurate medical documentation.
- Collaborate with team members to develop and update care plans, ensuring consistency across all therapeutic interventions.
Qualifications
- Prior experience or training in behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), or working with children with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage children effectively and build trusting relationships.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and implement behavior plans consistently.
- Passion for working with individuals with autism and a commitment to fostering their growth through patient care and teaching.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification as an RBT or related credential is highly desirable.
