Atlanta Habitat for Humanity, a nonprofit affordable homeownership affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, partners with families and neighborhood residents to build homes and revitalize communities. Our service area includes the city of Atlanta and the cities and neighborhoods of South Fulton. Atlanta Habitat is seeking a Warehouse Intern to support our mission.
Position Summary
This internship will take part in the operations of our warehouse facility and the many aspects involved in our mission of providing affordable homeownership for our community. Therefore, allowing the intern to develop practical skills and gain valuable industry knowledge.
Duties/Responsibilities

Duties/Responsibilities
- Attend New Hire Orientation.
- Understand the overall concept of company and goals of warehouse team.
- Work on designated warehouse sites and areas
- Support the Warehouse department as needed.
- Schedule Wednesday, and/or Thursday and Saturday with a minimum of 16-24 hours a week.
- Introduction to tools and techniques used by warehouse in daily work
- Understanding warehouse processes and infrastructure
- Hands on experience
- Project Management Skills
- Safety Protocols for warehouse/construction sites
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prolonged periods of standing and working at our warehouse and construction sites.
- Must be able to lift to 75 pounds at times.
