What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chef/Line Cooks position at Plow Restaurant?
PLOW is an elevated "Fine Farm to Table" restaurant located not in Chicago, not in Milwaukee, not in Madison, but on the outskirts in the charming village of Cambridge, 16 miles southeast of Madison and 10 minutes from Ft. Atkinson. Cambridge has a population of 1650 residents but also has the draw of Lake Ripley, CamRock trails, Rowe Pottery, Dancing Goat Distillery, Cambridge winery, Cambridge Inn and a host of dedicated small businesses. Plow Restaurant is in a former Grist Mill from the mid 1800s and in the heart of the village's downtown district. People often come to Cambridge and enjoy The PLOW as a destination from as far away as Rockford, Chicago, Milwaukee and Madison drive to Cambridge for dinner.
With recent renovations, Plow is doing a soft re-opened as we built the right team. Plow has expanded the footprint back of the house prep area, Added a cigar and Bourbon to handle events, catering and expand hours. The ideal candidate would be ready to see this opportunity as part time and become full time in spring when the dining room reopens. we are looking for line cooks, pizza and salad area and ultimately the future head Chef to grow Plow.
PLOW features a full bar with craft cocktails, and indoor and patio seating as well.
The food is incredible. Much is locally sourced from our own farm in Madison with a focus on natural seasonal and excellence. Menu items include vegetarian lasagna, New York Strip, fish fry, wood fired Neapolitan pizza, smoked prime rib in our CookShack FEC500 outdoor smoker, cumulate in a unique cooking experience.

- As Current owner chef and operator I will assist in training the future kitchen team training and facilitate the next executive chef. If you've done this type of role before, or just looking to see if cooking is for you please apply. You'll be working in a unique opportunity with Chef /Owner Charles Fiesel and his farm to table experience in all aspects of the culinary experience- from a working farm to creation of seasonal dishes.
- Baking, and dessert is a plus
- Pizza/ lasagna, and much more prepared in a 900-degree wood-fired oven
- Hours are currently Thursday -Saturday 5-9 pm to public, but much prep and can be outside of the current days, 2-10 with intention to add Saturday and Sunday Brunch and additional day.
