Duties
- Operate heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and front loader trucks to assist with trenching, pipe installation, and utility system construction.
- Install, repair, and maintain sanitary drainage systems, sewer lines, stormwater systems, and water supply infrastructure following blueprint specifications and construction plans.
- Use utility locating tools and interpret technical drawings to accurately identify underground utilities before excavation or installation.
- Perform construction trenching activities while adhering to federal construction safety regulations and safety protocol standards.
- Conduct concrete finishing, welding, pipe laser alignment, and underground utilities installation to ensure precise project execution.
- Assist with pipeline installation projects using heavy equipment and hand tools; ensure all work complies with safety regulations.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, including inspection logs, safety reports, and project documentation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, forklifts, and pipeline machinery.
- Knowledge of wastewater systems, sanitary sewers, stormwater systems, water supply systems, and underground utilities installation.
- Ability to read blueprints, construction plans, technical drawings, and interpret specifications accurately.
- Skilled in utility trenching, sewer line installation, pipe laser alignment technology, and construction site experience.
- Familiarity with federal construction safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols at all times.
- Proficiency with hand tools used in construction trenching and pipe installation projects.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and utility system installation projects.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining a focus on safety and quality standards.
