SUMMARY
The Area General Manager is a member of the Rental Team responsible for rental growth and increasing PLM’s market share. This role will manage a geographic territory and be responsible for the rental business in their territory, order fulfillment, customer service, equipment readiness, equipment maintenance, and overall management of their assigned locations. Leadership, customer service skills, and good judgment are all essential to be successful in this innovative, technology-driven team.
OBJECTIVE STATEMENT
Success in this role measured by rental growth at PLM branches, margin, process efficiency, and increased rental utilization.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES
We are seeking a General Manager professional with leasing industry experience and trailer industry knowledge with proven success, regional scope network, and the ability to build long-lasting programs and partnerships.
- Manage Rental Business within assigned territory.
- Grow rental revenue, increase market share, understand the rental market, and create a local strategy within assigned geography.
- Utilize quantifiable metrics and key indicators to gauge performance in the areas of overall equipment condition, readiness, cost performance, and maintenance margin.
- Develop consistent rhythm, guide employees, and own their markets to achieve long term growth.
- Get deeper with key stakeholders; internal and external customers, prospects, dealers, and service providers, to build strong relationships, expand product offerings, and provide an elevated level of customer service that exceeds customers’ needs.
- Embrace digital transformation and help drive operational process improvements.
- Assist in fleet planning, asset lifecycle management, and help drive remarketing efforts.
