About this Position The Technical Delivery Lead is responsible for the successful delivery of high-quality application development projects on a defined timeline. Technical Delivery Leads work with Business teams, Product Owners, vendors, 3rd parties, Architects, and our internal App Dev teams in order to deliver Rep and Client facing software application projects. Technical Delivery Lead will ensure that all deliverables meet Primerica's security policies and procedures and SDLC artifact requirements. Open to candidates that live anywhere in the United States but must work Eastern time zone work hours. If candidate is in Metro Atlanta area, they will work a flexible hybrid schedule at our Duluth office. Responsibilities & Qualifications Duties and Responsibilities: Project Leadership Work with the business users to receive requirements, review the requirements and ensure that it has the level of detail required for the project. Gather accurate work estimates from the development team for projects and features and challenge the team, where appropriate, to ensure that estimates are realistic. Create a detailed Project /Release plan that is based on these work estimates. Work with the technical developers to come up with efficient scalable solutions for complex or key requirements This is not a typical PM role, candidates are required to provide technical leadership and guidance to developers. Project Management Address internal and external technical risks, issues, roadblocks, and dependencies, even when ownership of such matter lies outside of the App Dev team. Work with shared services and back-end development teams and/or 3rd party developers to ensure successful delivery of necessary APIs and data. Drive collaboration across internal platform development teams to ensure that features and implementations for each platform remain in sync. Escalate appropriately, especially when timelines could be impacted. Technical Leadership Understand the systems architecture, application architecture, and integrations of the software applications being developed or enhanced. Actively engage in software architecture and design reviews meetings and advocate for prioritization of technical debt. Represent development teams in external status meetings to communicate technical approaches and challenges on behalf of the development team. Compliance Be well versed with Primerica's SDLC process. Ensure that the project teams comply with all security and compliance policies and procedures. Ensure timely closure of all project activities including vulnerability assessments, load testing, deployment etc. Ensure proper Hypercare documents are created and lead transition to support Risk Management Publish project status report and send out project status communications to internal project stakeholders on a regular cadence. Manage project scope, risk /issues, and change log. Escalate challenges that cannot be addressed at the project level to leadership team on a timely basis. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Bachelor's degree or Application Development, Management of Information Science, Computer science experience 2-3 years 4 years of software industry experience as a developer and/or development manager required. Minimum 2 years experience of working in a technical leadership role. Knowledge of latest software development technologies, methodologies, and project management approaches. Hands-on experience with agile and waterfall software development methodologies. Experience creating Work based structures, project plan, release plan, and implementation plans Strong communication skills with both internal team members and external business stakeholders. Strong initiative to find ways to improve solutions, systems, and processes Strong technical acumen, working knowledge of at least one technical stack and ability to pick up new technologies Demonstrates good organizational skills. Good Analytical Skills with ability to be detailed oriented. Good listener with strong communication skills with both internal and external business stakeholders. Proficient in leading project teams providing clear direction on assignments. Ability to handle work pressure. Ability to delegate tasks and set deadlines.
