Machine Operator Level 1 2nd Shift

Appropriately follow and carry out all steps of machine operation according to written standards to produce finished product.

• Understands and knows how to perform packer's position.

• Read work orders and all documents pertaining to job.

• Run and operate bagger system.

• Efficiently set up machine.

• Operate machines efficiently and control quality of product output.

• Perform quality checks on material.

• Perform daily maintenance on Level 1 equipment.

• Appropriately follow and carry out all required steps according to written standards.

• Perform required and necessary housekeeping responsibilities to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.

• Record proper labor date and material usage.

• Ability to move material (up to 30 lbs.) on and off machines.

Education:

High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)oe three to five years of experience in a production/manufacturing environment.: Required

Experience:

Six months to one year related experience.

Other Requirements:

Ability to run and operate machine as required. Strong math skills with the proven ability to accurately work with units of measure. Ability to read a tape measure. Ability to read and understand work orders. Must be self-motivated and have the ability to establish priorities. Must be able to multi-task accurately and efficiently to meet customer deadlines. Must have respect for quality of product and be a team player.

Consistent exposure to production floor. Production floor environment includes safety-sensitive machine operations and warehouse equipment being operated. Noise level does not require PPE. Airborne particle level does not require PPE. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The employee may be exposed to outdoor weather conditions. The employee may be exposed to wet or humid conditions. The employee may be exposed to dusty environments.
