The Materials Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the movement of materials within the organization. Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
- Coordinate and execute the procurement of materials and supplies to support production and operational needs.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and usage.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast material requirements and plan accordingly.
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Inspect incoming materials for quality and verify accuracy of quantities received.
- Work closely with suppliers and vendors to resolve any issues or discrepancies.
- Coordinate the disposal or recycling of unused materials.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of inventory control strategies.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and provide recommendations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Materials Coordinator or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control principles and procedures.
- Proficient in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
