Job Summary:
The Maintenance Manager oversees the maintenance operations of our two buildings in Las Vegas. They verify that safety standards are met, and machinery runs smoothly. Responsibilities include managing the maintenance staff, budget for preventing maintenance program and maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.
Job Duties:
- Directs the work of all Maintenance and Facilities teams
- Leads, mentors, engages, and develops teams to maximize their contributions, including recruiting, assessing, training, coaching, and managing performance
- Consults with VP of Manufacturing to create long-range operating and manufacturing goals specific to the needs of the organization.
- Function as a key member driving cost improvement measures to include equipment modifications and new capital investments to reduce the overall cost of goods and improve machine and operator efficiencies
- Ensures individual and all team performance meets objectives and client expectations
- Plans and leads daily team briefings
- Develops, implements and oversees PM schedules on all equipment
- Ensure consistent adherence to OSHA, Federal, State, and local safety policies and procedures to include lockout/tag out, Arc Flash, and proper PPE for all jobs
- Work with outside contractors and vendors as necessary to best accomplish maintenance departmental goals
- Perform other duties as assigned or as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field or combination of education and experience managing maintenance or engineering departments
- 5 years experience in a maintenance role in a high volume, fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Excellent managerial and supervisory skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Extensive technical knowledge of engineering and product development.
- 3 years experience managing maintenance team members
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management and analytical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read blueprints, schematic diagrams, and ladder logic. Ability to program and modify PLC programs
- Excellent computer skills, ability to use Microsoft Office suite, Cad, and other software packages
- Team player with a sense of urgency who excels in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Able to work any hours necessary to ensure the success of the department and company
- Ability to traverse across our two manufacturing facilities.
