Loan Processor – Job DescriptionLocation: Downey, CA (On-site)Employment Type: Full-TimeIndustry: Mortgage Lending / Real EstateAbout the RoleWe are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Loan Processor to join our growing mortgage team. The ideal candidate is proactive, customer-focused, and experienced in guiding borrowers through the loan fulfillment process with accuracy and exceptional service. This role is critical to ensuring a smooth and timely closing for our clients.Key ResponsibilitiesReview mortgage loan applications for completeness and accuracyCollect, verify, and analyze borrower documentation including income, assets, credit, appraisal, and titleSubmit files to underwriting and work closely with the underwriter to clear conditionsMaintain open communication with borrowers, loan officers, real estate agents, and third-party vendorsOrder and track required services (VOEs, VODs, appraisals, title, insurance, fraud checks)Identify potential red flags and ensure files meet all agency and lender guidelines (FHA, VA, Conventional, DSCR, Non-QM, etc.)Manage and maintain pipeline to ensure files close on or before contract deadlinesPrepare files for final approval and coordinate with escrow for closing packagesDeliver a high-level customer experience through consistent updates and professional communicationQualificationsMinimum 2 years of experience as a mortgage loan processor (preferred)Strong knowledge of AUS systems (DU/LP) and mortgage guidelinesUnderstanding of income calculation (W-2, self-employed, bank statements, P&L, etc.)Excellent communication and customer-service skillsStrong attention to detail and ability to prioritize a fast-moving pipelineExperience working with mortgage LOS systems (Encompass, LendingPad, Calyx, etc.)Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environmentWhat We OfferCompetitive compensation (salary performance incentives)A dynamic, supportive team environmentOpportunities for growth within a rapidly expanding mortgage and real estate organizationTraining, professional development, and leadership opportunitiesModern office environment in Downey, CA with strong company cultureAbout UsWe are a high-performance mortgage team dedicated to helping families and investors achieve homeownership and financial freedom.
