Purpose Statement: To fabricate mechanical components for test equipment for use in manufacturing and product development prototypes.
Key Job Accountabilities
- Performs work in a neat and professional manner, maintains work area and assists in maintaining the Plexus Engineering Solutions Lab to 6S standards.
- Supports ongoing efforts to improve the fabrication process so that Plexus Technology Group remains competitive. Identify and offer suggestions for process improvement so as to improve quality and/or reduce cost.
- Provide quality products and services to all internal and external customers.
- Fabricate and assemble components/complete systems based on prints or as directed by engineering.
- Support CAD/CAM efforts as needed and provide proper feedback to engineering teams
- Owns equipment maintenance and stock items for the shop.
- A minimum of an Associate's degree in machining or related field is required.
- No Less than Three (3) years of related experience is required; Five (5) or more years of related experience is preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.
- Basic Computer Skills
- Basic Decision making, Problem Solving Skills
- Basic Verbal and Written Communication Skills
- Prioritizing skills, assertiveness, and the ability to work on multiple tasks and projects are essential
- Self-motivated with an ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment
- General office equipment and materials
- Ability to fully operate CNC machines and all manual machining processes
