What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Immigration Law Clerk / Paralegal position at Plex Law Group, APC?
Responsibilities
- Independently prepare, draft, and manage a wide range of employment-based immigration petitions, including:
- NIW (EB-2 National Interest Waiver)
- EB-1A Extraordinary Ability
- L-1A / L-1B
- EB-1C Multinational Executive or Manager
- H-1B (Cap, Cap-Exempt, Change of Employer, Extension, Amendments)
- PERM-based I-140 petitions
- O-1 petitions (preferred)
- Draft petition letters, legal support letters, forms, exhibits, and filing packages with minimal attorney supervision.
- Review client documents and identify missing evidence.
- Communicate directly with clients regarding document collection and case strategy implementation.
- Prepare responses to RFEs and NOIDs.
- Maintain case timelines and ensure timely filings.
- Conduct legal research on immigration laws, regulations, policy memoranda, and case law when needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on U.S. employment-based immigration experience.
- Must have substantial experience independently preparing and managing immigration cases from intake through filing.
- Strong experience with NIW, EB-1A, L-1, EB-1C, and H-1B cases is required.
- Excellent legal writing and drafting skills.
- Ability to analyze case strategy and identify evidentiary gaps.
- Strong organizational and case management skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
- Chinese (Mandarin) proficiency is a plus, but not required.
Pay: $32.00 - $33.00 per hour
