Overview
Join our dynamic manufacturing team as an Industrial Maintenance Technician. The Maintenance Technician will work with on maintenance team and be responsible for ensuring safe and efficient operation of machinery and equipment. The top candidate will possess electrical and mechanical trouble-shooting skills and experience. The role requires the technician to not only respond to breakdowns but also perform preventive maintenance tasks on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, and production machines; demonstrated ability to follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications is required to be effective in the role.
Responsibilities
- Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Remove defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
- Determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts, using rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
- Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
- Control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
- Fabricate repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
- Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; informing supervision; verifying receipt.
- Conserve maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Provide mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
- Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Daily document all work performed using web based Computerized Maintenance Management System.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Dress in proper PPE attire and use PPE equipment provided.
- Work toward continuous quality improvement.
- Uphold, support, and promote all company policies and procedures.
- Ability to work independently and possess strong problem-solving skills. Control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; additional schooling desirable
- Minimum of two years experience working in an industrial maintenance technician position or adjacent role
- ISO 9001 Standard / Quality Management System experience is highly desired
- Electrical experience and experience with controls is highly desirable
- Possess hand tools including wrenches, screwdrivers, Allen wrenches, sockets, and power tools at a minimum
- General Mechanical Understanding with knowledge of pumps
- Experience working with bearings, Lubrication, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Conveyors, and Plumbing equipment
- Strong analysis skills combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving; ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $23.00 - $32.00 per hour
